Avon Theatre Celebrates 70th Anniversary at Butterfield 8
Over 200 people filled Butterfield 8, a new restaurant and nightclub, located on Bedford Street, just down the block from the Avon Theatre to celebrate the theatre’s 70th Anniversary. It was a festive event with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Following the party, guests walked down the street to the Avon to see a screening of the famous Elizabeth Taylor movie by the same name, Butterfield 8. Owners of the Avon, Chuck and Deborah Royce were on hand to greet the movie goers and to talk a bit about its history and John Farr, a founding board member and avid movie buff, introduced the movie.
